Data Engineer

I’m currently recruiting for a data engineer role based in Dublin. This is an initial 6-month contract, with a focus on hybrid working. Strong day rate available.

About the Role

• Design and build scalable data solutions, integrating data from multiple sources across cloud platforms.
• Develop, optimise and automate data pipelines while applying governance, security and data quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, production-ready data platforms.

Requirements

• Previous experience designing enterprise data solutions with expertise in PySpark, SQL, Spark, Azure Databricks and Snowflake.
• Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory or Airflow, alongside CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices.
• Proven knowledge of data modelling, data governance, data masking/de-identification and performance tuning in large-scale environments.

Desirable

• Previous technical experience with Python, Java or Scala, Agile/Scrum delivery and process improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to production ML/AI solutions and enterprise data architecture.
